CBI conducted a 15-hour search at the house of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA Tapas Saha in Nadia's Tehatta constituency on Friday. The search was related to allegations of recruitment corruption.
In the course of their investigation, the CBI officials also searched the houses of two other TMC leaders, Praveer Kayal and Iti Sarkar. Sarkar allegedly attacked the officials during the search.
Sources say that Sarkar is a member of the local panchayat and works in a government school in the area. The CBI investigation was launched on the order of the High Court.
